RIP

So I meant to have a post up for you yesterday. I was going to write it when I got home. But about halfway through my day, I got news that one of my dear friends from college had lost his mom to cancer on the 4th.

I’m still a little shaken, if I’m honest. She was an amazing woman, and I’ve left a lot of promises to her unanswered…and now I can never fulfill them.

You’ll have a book review post tomorrow, and with luck, I’ll have a fiction post for Friday. But I wanted to explain why I was gone. (Last Friday I was on the road and thought I had a post up. Whoops.)

I miss you, Diane. I’ll make sure to cheer extra loud down here for Mike.
