All the Sevens. Forever. SevenSevenSevenSeven

So the ever-lovely Bronwen tagged me to do the 7x7x7x7(x7x7x7x7x7x7x7x7x7x7x7) post, and honestly I’ve been waiting for an excuse to do this. Here be the rules!

  • Go to page 7 of your WIP.
  • Scroll down to Line 7.
  • Share the next 7 sentences in a blog post.
  • After the excerpt, tag 7 other writers to continue the challenge.

If I’m lucky, I’ll be able to come up with 7 authors. 😀 Anyway! Here goes!

Alistair’s just come in to his favorite blood bar, Alpha+, and is chatting with his friend and the owner, Beth. Beth speaks first.

Sleep well?”

Well enough. Been waking up early lately.” I made a face, and she slid me my glass. “Memories from days past.”

Those still causing you trouble?” She brushed my shoulder. “I haven’t had too many, but…well, I know your past has more shadows than mine.”

Not the most thrilling of scenes, but hey. We’re still meeting the characters. And Alistair’s demons play an important part in the plot…

Okay! So. Let’s see if I can come up with 7 people.

  1. Denise Drespling
  2. Amanda Young
  3. Patrick Martyn

…uh. *thinks* You know what, if you’re reading this and you haven’t done it and want to, GO FOR IT. CONSIDER YOURSELF TAGGED.

*score*

And for anyone who hasn’t seen, if you like theatre and writing, you should check out my #PitchWars parody of “One Day More” from Les Miserables, because I am kinda stupidly proud of my little song. Here’s the link! I sing all the part. Feel free to laugh at my Cosette. I am not a soprano.

See ya later, literary luminaries!
